Wylene Wood Vickers

Mrs. Wylene Wood Vickers, age 66 of Axson, Ga. passed away, Saturday, October 23, 2021, at her home surrounded by her loved ones, following an extended illness. She was born June 25, 1955, in Homerville, Ga. to James "Jimmy" Wendell Wood and Nancy Taft Wood. Wylene enjoyed being a homemaker and took great pride in providing and caring for her family. She loved riding motorcycles, cooking, and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren. Wylene was preceded in death, along with her parents, by her sister; Patsy Wood Cook, 2 brothers; Charles Wood and Carl Wendell Wood and her grandson; Cameron Spivey.

Survivors include:

Husband: Gary Vickers of Axson, Ga.

2 Sons: Brandon Spivey and wife Whitney of Thomasville, Ga.
            Jimmy Spivey and Starryia Rigby of Alma, Ga.

Stepson: Greg Vickers of Axson, Ga.

Stepdaughter: Brandy Boatfield and husband Tony of Covington, Ga.

2 Sisters: Willean Dell of Axson, Ga.

Cynthia Dillingham and husband Kevin of Axson, Ga.

Brother: Jimmy Dale Wood and wife Sandy of Adel, Ga.

4 Grandchildren: T.J. Spivey, Kason Spivey, Colton Spivey, and Clayton Spivey.

2 Great-Grandchildren, 3 Step-Grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Graveside services for Mrs. Vickers were held on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. at Vickers Family Cemetery in Axson, Ga. with Rev. Edward Mathews and Rev. Walt Deloach officiating. Special musical selections included, "Go Rest High", "Dancing in the Sky" and "Simply the Best" all rendered by cd. The interment followed in the Vickers Family Cemetery in Axson, Ga.

Serving as active pallbearers were: Gary Vickers, Brandon Spivey, Henry Mancil, Greg Vickers, Jake Dillingham and Ryan Mason.

Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
