Mrs. Wilma Jean Vickers, age 92, of Pearson, Ga., passed away Sunday, May 24, 2026, at her home in Pearson, Ga.
Mrs. Vickers was born on November 24, 1933, in Pearson, Ga. to the late E T and Ella Purvis Pafford. Mrs. Vickers moved back to Pearson, Ga. in 1995 after living in Orlando and Jacksonville Fl. for many years. She was a homemaker and was of the Christian Faith and enjoyed crocheting, puzzles and gardening. Along with her parents, Mrs. Vickers was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Vickers, 2 daughters, Jackie Palmer and Wanda Gail Vickers, 2 sisters, Bernice Pearson and Pat Wall, and 2 grandsons, Jamie Palmer and Keith Palmer.
Survivors Include:
1 Daughter: Shirley Kokidko of Pearson, Ga.
2 Sisters: Dereyl Hall of Jacksonville, Fl.
Joyce Buska and husband George of St. Augustine, Fl.
Niece: Kay Hawkins of Orlando, Fl.
Son in Law: Terry Palmer and wife Lita of Pearson, Ga.
2 Grandchildren: Mathew Kokidko (Karla) of Orlando, Fl.
Marshall Kokidko (Audrey) of Hope Mills, N.C.
Great Grandchildren: Nadia Kokidko, Jonathan Kokidko, Ashlynn Kokidko, Aubrey Kokidko, and Carlie Kokidko.
Graveside services for Mrs. Vickers were held on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at Sweetwater Cemetery in Pearson, Ga. with Rev. Walt Deloach officiating. Special Music included “Goodness of God” and “I Bid You Goodnight” presented by cd. The interment followed at Sweetwater Cemetery.
Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
