Walter Dewayne Crawford

Mr. Walter D. Crawford, age 85, of Pearson, Ga. passed away Saturday, April 05, 2025 at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, Ga.

Born March 26, 1940, in Jacksonville, Fl., Mr. Crawford was the son of the late P.T. and Ethel Lee Crawford. Mr. Crawford moved from Fort Myers, Fl. before making his home in South, Ga. where he spent the last 25 years. He enjoyed fishing, working on vehicles, being outdoors and a good cigar. He worked as a barge mechanic for many years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Crawford and sister, Patricia Crawford.

3 Daughters: Olivia Marcella Crawford of Sanford, Fl.

                      Teresa Taft and husband John of Axson, Ga.

                      Dena Steller and husband William of Lakeland, Fl.

Special Friend: Linda Mixon of Pearson, Ga.

5 grandchildren: Kristin Steller of Thomasville, Ga.

                           Kelsey Crain and husband Jonathon of Live Oak, Fl.

                           Ryan Taft and wife Nicole of Douglas, Ga.

                           Casey Taft of Axson, Ga.

                           Stephine Anne McKensie of Sandford, Fl.

6 great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

A private service was held Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at Pineview Cemetery in Folkston, Ga. The interment followed in Pineview Cemetery

Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
