Virginia Lee Cooper

Mrs. Virginia Lee Cooper, age 75 of Nashville, Ga. passed away Saturday, June 08, 2024, at home following an extended illness.

Mrs. Cooper was born July 9, 1948, daughter of the late Dorman and Olivia Futch Lee. She had made her home in Atkinson and Berrien County her entire life. She worked for Tifton Aluminum in the Packing Dept. for 25 years and in her later years was a homemaker. She enjoyed bird watching and being with her family, especially her granddaughters. She was a member of Willacoochee Christian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey L. “Jr.” Cooper and her sister, Brenda Lee Jones.

 Survivors include:

2 Daughters: Angie Wade and husband Tommy of Nashville, Ga. Melissa Vickers and husband Iraman of Alapaha, Ga. 

5 Grandchildren: Maygon Wade, Taylor Wade, Dana Vickers, Adrianne Roberts & husband Stephen, and Brady Vickers & wife Lexi.

2 Great-Grandchildren: Hadley Roberts and Dean Vickers

Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Cooper were held on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at 4:00 P.M. at Riverside Cemetery with Rev. Stephen Norris officiating. Special musical selection was a recording of “Precious Lord” by Elvis Presley. The interment followed in Riverside Cemetery. 

Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
