Sandy Wynn Jewell

July 20, 1960 — July 28, 2023

Mrs. Sandy W. Jewell, age 63 years old, of Pearson, Ga., passed away Friday, July 28, 2023, at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, Ga.  She was born in Homerville, Ga., on July 20, 1960, daughter of Jay and Helen Odum Harrell.  Sandy made her home in the Pearson area for most of her life.  She enjoyed relaxing by the pool, getting her hair and nails done, and especially spending time and making memories with her grandchildren.  Sandy was a caretaker to anyone around who needed her help.  She will always be remembered for her loving and caring heart.  Sandy was preceded in death by her father, Mr. Jay Harrell, her daughter, Amber Peters, brother, Wayne Sweat, and her grandson, Willie James "Trey" Jackson.

Survivors include:

Husband:  Tony Jewell of Pearson, Ga.

Mother: Helen Harrell of Nashville, Ga.

2 Sons: Tony Jewell, Jr. of Pearson, Ga., and Josh Jewell and wife Lindsey of Ray City, Ga.

2 Daughters: Santana Yancey and husband Joseph of Pearson, Ga., and Porshua Wilson and husband Christopher of Nashville, Ga.

5 Sisters: Tracy Harpe of Ray City, Ga., Kandy Willhoite of Winnie, Tx., Rita Touchton of New Market, Al., Donna Grady of Nahunta, Ga., and Laura Mixon Smith of Waycross, Ga.

2 Brothers: Leonard Harrell and wife Michelle of Homerville, Ga., and David Harrell of New Market, Al.

Grandson:  Isiah Jackson, and great-grandchildren, Tre’son Jackson, Lovee Jackson, and Malachi Jackson, along with several other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services for Sandy were held on Monday, July 31, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at the Willacoochee Church of God in Willacoochee, Ga. with William and Crystal Laney officiating. Special musical selections included, "In the Arms of the Angels", "Sissy's Song", and "In Case You Didn't Know", all rendered by cd.  The interment followed in Willacoochee City Cemetery.

Serving as active pallbearers were:  Josh Jewell, Travis Harrell, Joe Yancey, James Murray, and Calvin Scott.

Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
