Rudy Corbitt Storey

Mrs. Rudy Corbitt Storey, age 77, of Pearson and Waycross, Ga., passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at Satilla Hospice House in Waycross, Ga. following an extended illness.

Mrs. Storey was born on February 3, 1949, in Pearson, Ga. Mrs. Storey made her home in Pearson and Waycross, Ga. and was the manager at Storey’s Furniture and Appliances for many years. Mrs. Storey was of the Christian Faith and enjoyed yard work, flowers, traveling, and boating. Mrs. Storey was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lester and Theresa Corbitt, mother, Jean Corbitt Perkins, first husband, Ralph Mullis, brother, Billy Arnold, and stepson, John Lott Storey.

Survivors Include:

Husband: Herman Storey of Waycross, Ga.

Stepson: Jamie Storey of Waycross, Ga.

Stepdaughter: Beth Storey Neale and husband Jay of Watkinsville, Ga.

Brother: Ron Arnold of Pearson, Ga.

Closest Friend: Pat Mullis of Axson, Ga

Several Step Grandchildren, Great Step Grandchildren and other relatives also survive

Funeral services for Mrs. Storey were held on Friday, May 22, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. with Rev. Edward Mathews officiating. Special music included “Amazing Grace”, and “How Great Thou Art” presented by cd. The interment followed at Sweetwater Cemetery.

Active Pallbearers included: Jay Neale, Hayden Neale, Coleman Neale, Bren Mullis, Jamie Storey, and Darrell Thomas.

Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
