Rebecca Ann Wind

Ms. Rebecca A. Wind, age 77 of Pearson, Ga. passed away Friday, September 2, 2022, at her home in Pearson, Ga. She was born in Cairo, Ga. on December 12, 1944, daughter of Robert Edward, Sr., and Kathryn Harrison Wind.  Coming from Cairo and Valdosta, Rebecca made her home in Pearson for a good part of her life, where she had retired as a Quality Control Reviewer with DFACS.   She enjoyed her dogs, reading, camping, and spending time visiting with friends and family.  Rebecca was a member of Pearson Church and was preceded in death, along with her parents, by her sister, Deborah Wind.

Survivors include:

2 Daughters:  Sheri Turk and husband Steven of Pearson, Ga.

                     Julie Batten of Valdosta, Ga.

Brother:  Robert E. “Bob” Wind, Jr. of Cairo, Ga.

Several other relatives also survive.

Memorial services for Ms. Wind will be held Saturday, September 10, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. at Pearson Church (54 Roberts Ave. East Pearson, Ga. 31642) with Bro. Gary Griffin officiating. 

Memorialization is by cremation.  Interment will be announced at a later date.
