Randall Shane Luke

Mr. Randall Shane Luke, age 64 years old, of Pearson, Ga. passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, Ga.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman Luke, and Anna Sue Guthrie Causey.  Mr. Luke was born in Winter Haven, Fla. on March 13, 1959, he worked many jobs growing up, including milking cows after school, so he could buy and fix up his own cars. He graduated from Atkinson County High School.    Mr. Luke made his home in Pearson, after traveling extensively and living in various places.  He worked as a carpenter and loved fishing, antique cars, playing cards, listening to classic rock music, playing pool, and especially spending time with his family and loved ones.

Children:  Elijah Jonathon Luke of Venice, Fl.

                 Randi Elizabeth Luke of Pearson, Ga.

                 Randall Shane Luke, Jr. of Laredo, Tx.

                 Anna Carmen Luke of Laredo, Tx.

 

Brother:  James Wesley Luke and wife Rosa of Pearson, Ga.

 

3 Sisters:  Lynne Vickers of Willacoochee, Ga.

                 Christine Lee and husband Gary of Terrell, Tx.

                 Charity Luke and husband John of Enigma, Ga.

 

Several nieces, nephews, and cousins, along with many other relatives also survive.

 

Funeral services for Mr. Luke were held on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at 12:00 P.M. at Relihan Funeral Home Chapel in Pearson, Ga. with Rev. Steve Gentry officiating. Special musical selections included, "Amazing Grace" and "Lead me Home" both rendered by cd.  The interment then followed in Riverside Cemetery.

 

Serving as active pallbearers were:  Tommy Guthrie, Jerry Guthrie, Phillip Guthrie, Kerry Guthrie, Jess Griffis, and Tommy McDonald.

 

Serving as honorary pallbearers were:  Paul Guthrie, Buddy Vickers, and Dwight Guthrie. 

 

Mr. Randall Shane Luke, Sr. will be missed for many years to come.
