Mrs. Mary Helen Joyner, age 68 of Pearson, Ga. passed away, Sunday, April 10, 2022, at Memorial Satilla Health Center in Waycross, Ga. She was born, March 19, 1954, in Coffee County, daughter of Raymond Charles and Lizzie Mae Leavens Tanner. Mrs. Joyner made her home in the Atkinson and Coffee County area where she raised her family and was a homemaker. She enjoyed in her spare time, sewing, reading, and spending time with her family. Mrs. Joyner was preceded in death, along with her parents, by 2 sisters: Bonnie Mancil, and Matilda Mancil, as well as a brother, James Mancil.

Shane Tanner and wife, Stacey of Blackshear, Ga.
Joseph Tanner of Pearson, Ga.
4 Brothers: Jesse Mancil of Pearson, Ga.
John Mancil of Pearson, Ga.
Ray Tanner of Douglas, Ga.
Donald Tanner of Douglas, Ga.
3 Sisters: Susan Spivey of Pearson, Ga.
Patricia Tanner of Douglas, Ga.
Brenda Tanner of Douglas, Ga.
6 Grandchildren, 3 Great Grandchildren along with several other relatives also survive.
Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Joyner were held Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Utah Cemetery in Axson, Ga. with Rev. Hardy Crosby officiating. Special musical selections included, “Amazing Grace” and “Go Rest Hight” rendered by cd. The interment followed in the Utah Cemetery.
Serving as active pallbearers were: Charles Wood, Brock Fredricks, Michael Belle, Billy Purvis, Gary Anderson, and Daniel Anderson, with Russell Hurlbert as an honorary pallbearer.
Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
