Maribel Anais Walker

Little Miss Maribel Anais Walker, of Pearson, Ga. passed away Sunday, April 30, 2023, at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, Ga.  She was born in Ocilla, Ga. on August 26, 2022.  Little Maribel was welcomed into her family by her three older brothers, who she enjoyed playing with.  Although her time on this earth was short, her spirit of pure love and joy will continue forever.  Little Maribel was preceded in death by her Maternal Grandfather, Armando Efren Ortega.  We will take comfort in knowing that she is wrapped up in the arms of her papa, and we will one day be together again.

3 Brothers:  Izaiah Walker, Malachi Walker, and Gabriel Walker

 

Maternal Grandparents:  Mary Jane Ortega and Benjamin Garcia of Pearson, Ga.

 

Paternal Grandparents:  Susan Richards of Brunswick, Ga.

                                       Edward Walker of Blackshear, Ga.

 

Maternal Great-Grandparents:  Janice Spikes of Pearson, Ga.

                                                  Tommy Douglas of Pearson, Ga.

 

Aunts:  Isabel Ortega of Pearson, Ga.

            Mayra Contreras of Pearson, Ga.

            Ashlee Davis of Brunswick, Ga.

 

Uncles:  Armando Efren Ortega, Jr. of Pearson, Ga.

              Bejamin Garcia II of Pearson, Ga.

              Dewight Walker of Brunswick, Ga.

              Justin Walker of Brunswick, Ga.

Several other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Miss Maribel were held on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. at Sunnyside Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Spikes and Rev. Lonnie Spikes officiating. Special musical selections included, “Sissy’s Song”, “Tears in Heaven”, and “Lullaby” all rendered by cd.  The interment followed in Sunnyside Cemetery. 

Serving as active pallbearers were Armando Ortega, and Benjamin Garcia.

Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
