Manning D.J. Tanner

Mr. Manning D.J. Tanner, age 33 of Axson, Ga. passed away Saturday, April 17, 2021 at his home in Axson, Ga.

A native of Atkinson County, D.J. was born August 09, l987, son of the late Manning Dillard Tanner and Brenda Davis Tanner.  He was a 2006 graduate of Atkinson County High School and had made his home in Atkinson County for most of his life. D.J. enjoyed fishing, playing video games with his 2 sons, and spending time with his family.  He was preceded in death by his father Dillard Manning Tanner.

Survivors include:

Mother:  Brenda Tanner and husband, Carl Kimmerling of Willacoochee, Ga.

Wife:  Ashley Tanner of Axson, Ga.

2 Sons:  Nevel Kayden Tanner and D.J. Leonidis Tanner of Axson , Ga.

2 Sisters:  Kamara Kintop of Willacoochee, Ga.

                 Serenity Kintop of Willacoochee, Ga.

Maternal Grandmother:  Ammie K. Davis of Axson, Ga.

Several Aunts, Uncles and other relatives also survive.

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Tanner were held, Friday, April 23, 2021 at 12:00 P.M. at Hall Cemetery in Nicholls, Ga. with Bro. Donnie Stephens officiating. Special music included “Make Me A Daddy”, “Daddy’s Hands”, and “Old Town Road” presented by cd.  The interment followed in Hall Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were:  Jonathon Clinton Davis, Thomas Durrance, Rocky Walker, William Lott, Mathew Davis, and Chaffter Tanner.

Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
