Linda McKinnon Cothern

Mrs. Linda McKinnon Cothern, age 78, of Pearson, Ga., passed away Thursday, July 16, 2026, at her home in Pearson, Ga. following an extended illness.

Survivors Include:

Son: Brian Sean Cothern of Pearson, Ga.

Brother: Junior McKinnon and wife Ola of Douglas, Ga.

Sister-in-Law: Louise Davis of Alma, Ga.

Beloved Pet: Precious

Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Mrs. Cothern is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Lee Cothern, 2 brothers, Morris Hardin and John Roy McKinnon, and 3 sisters, Dorothy Godsey, Virginia Perry, and Winnie Lott.

Funeral services for Mrs. Cothern will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at Ozias Freewill Baptist Church in Pearson, Ga. with Rev. Michael Johnson officiating. The interment will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery.

Visitation for Mrs. Cothern will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M. at Ozias Freewill Baptist Church in Pearson, Ga.
