Lester Bryant Davis

March 14, 1956 — October 29, 2021

Mr. Lester Bryant Davis, age 65 of Pearson, Ga., passed away, Friday, October 29, 2021, at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida.  Mr. Davis was born, March 14, 1956, in Douglas, Ga. to Melvin Lewis and Betty Jean Corbitt Davis.  He was a hard worker, who made his home here in Pearson, where he farmed and worked the land.  Mr. Davis loved those around him, especially his grandbabies.  He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it and took great pride in caring and providing for his family.  Mr. Davis was preceded in death, along with his parents, by 2 brothers: Michael and Karey Davis.

Survivors include:

Wife:  Becky Courson Davis of Pearson, Ga.

2 Sons:  Marshall Lewis Davis of Pearson, Ga.

             Andrew Joshua Bryant Davis and wife, Alyssa of Pearson, Ga.

Daughter:  Brittany Jordan and husband, Eric of Pearson, Ga.

3 Brothers:  Larry Davis and wife, Betsy of Manor, Ga.

                    Timothy Dale Davis and wife, Alphine of Manor, Ga.

                    George Davis and wife, Aleta of Pearson, Ga.

2 Sisters:  Brenda Stone of Pearson, Ga.

                 Lessie Youngblood and husband, Wallace of Pearson, Ga.

3 Grandchildren:  Beau and Colton Jordan 

                             Paisley May Davis

Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Davis were held on Saturday, November 6, 2021, at 12:00 p.m. at Union Hill Church with Rev. Edward Mathews officiating. Special musical selections included “Thank You”, “So God Made a Farmer” and “Blue Bonnets” all rendered by cd.  The interment followed in Union Hill Cemetery.

Serving as active pallbearers were:  John Tavell Courson, Lige Youngblood, Whit Stewart, Kurt Russ, Chad Day, and Scott Stone.

Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
