Leah Elline Hewitt McDonald

Mrs. Leah Elline Hewitt McDonald, age 74, of Pearson, Ga., passed away Monday, January 19, 2026, at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, Ga.

Survivors Include:

Husband: Lloyd McDonald of Pearson, Ga.

Daughter: Shelley Doyle and husband Michael of Douglas, Ga.

Brother: John Higgs and wife Candace of Douglas, Ga.

Sister:  Ella Hewitt of Waycross, Ga.

Grandson: Hogan Doyle

Several other relatives also survive.

Mrs. McDonald is preceded in death by her parents, Willie Hewitt and Joanne Morris Higgs, and brother, Michael Hewitt.

Memorialization is by cremation.

Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, Ga. is in charge of the arrangements.
