Kenneth L. Hunkapiller

Mr. Kenneth L. Hunkapiller, age 79 of Willacoochee, Ga. passed away Thursday, June 30, 2022, at Memorial University Hospital in Savannah, Ga. following a brief illness. Survivors include: Wife: Joyce Hunkapiller of Willacoochee, Ga. Son: Jason Hunkapiller and wife Amy of Willacoochee, Ga. 2 Daughters: Vickey Kirkland and husband Richard of Willacoochee, Ga. Deidra Floyd and husband David of Willacoochee, Ga. Brother: Daniel Hunkapiller and wife Margie of Willacoochee, Ga. Sister: Betty Ann Walker of Willacoochee, Ga. 7 Grandchildren, 4 Step-Grandchildren, 6 Great-Grandchildren, 3 Step Great-Grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive. Funeral services for Mr. Hunkapiller will be held on Tuesday, July 05, 2022 at the Willacoochee First Baptist Church at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Joey Floyd and Rev. Joe Taft officiating. The interment will follow in the Willacoochee City Cemetery. Visitation for Mr. Hunkapiller will be held on Monday, July 04, 2022 at Relihan Funeral Home from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Mr. Hunkapiller will lie in state at Willacoochee First Baptist Church on Tuesday, July 05, 2022 from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M. Attendees are asked to comply with the current guidelines and standards regarding containment of the Coronavirus including masks and social distancing.
