Joshua Scott Beverley

Mr. Joshua Scott Beverley, age 29, of Pearson, Ga. passed away at his home, Saturday, September 26, 2020, following an extended illness. 

Born October 24, l990 in Coffee County, Mr. Beverley was the son of Lemuel Beverley and Shirley Bennett Beverley.  He had made his home in Atkinson County for most of his life and worked as a forklift operator. He was preceded in death by his father, Lemuel Beverley.

Survivors include:

Mother:  Shirley Beverley and Stepfather, Edwin McDonald of Pearson, Ga.

Wife:  Kellie Griffis of Broxton, Ga.

2 Stepchildren: Kaden and Ashlyn Grey of Broxton, Ga.

Sister:  Jessica Vining and husband, Cody of Nicholls, Ga.

Maternal Grandmother:  Shirley Tanzer of Broxton, Ga.

Special Aunt:  Stephanie Stone and husband, Jack of Broxton, Ga.

Cousins:  Jace and Ariella Stone

Niece:  Lexi Bennett

2 Nephews:  Bentley Beverley and Greyson Williams

Several other relatives also survive.

Funeral Services for Mr. Joshua Beverley were held, Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. at Sunnyside Freewill Baptist Church in Pearson, Ga. with Rev. Benji Capps officiating. Eulogies were given by Cody Vining and Cassie Murphy. Special musical selections included, “You Should Be Here”, “Better Than I Used to Be” and “Drink a Beer” were presented by CD.  The interment followed in Sunnyside Church Cemetery.

Serving as active pallbearers were:  Jack Stone, Cody Vining, Joe Beverly, Patrick Hope, Christopher McDonald, and Lee McGovern. Honorary pallbearers were:  Brent Davis, William Miller, Hunter Beverly, and Shane Hamilton.

Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
