Joseph "Jody" Clay Fussell

Mr. Joseph Clay “Jody” Fussell, age 51 years old of Pearson, Ga., passed away peacefully on June 16, 2023, with his wife and daughter by his side.  He was born in Fitzgerald, Ga. on December 4, 1971, the son of James Leonard Fussell and Linda Moore Tanner.  Jody made his home in Pearson where took great pride and respect in taking care of his family working as an automotive mechanic, who earned the c.b. handle, "Monkey Wrench".   Hunting, fishing, and being around people, was what he enjoyed the most.  Jody always put others before himself and was the first to raise a helping hand.  Some years back, Jody’s friends from Ambrose nicknamed him, “Hoss”, because of his resemblance to “Hoss Cartwright” from the tv show Bonanza, other friends and loved ones said he was described as a gentle giant because of his large stature, but to those who knew him, they knew it was because of his big heart and giving spirit.  Jody was blessed with a good life, and if you had the chance to know him, you knew that his greatest blessing was his baby girl, Jodee Beth.  Although he will be missed dearly, his kind and loving spirit will live on forever.  Jody was preceded in death by, his daddy since the age of 8 years old, Clark Tanner.

Daughter:  Jodee Beth Fussell of Pearson, Ga.

Mother:  Linda Moore Tanner of Pearson, Ga.

Father:  Jimmy Fussell of Pearson, Ga.

Brother:  Kevin Fussell of Douglas, Ga.

Memorialization was by cremation.

Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
