Joseph "Buck" Brand Nugent

Mr. Joseph Brand “Buck” Nugent, age 53 of Pearson, Ga., passed away, Tuesday, September 29, 2020, at his home, surrounded by his family following an extended illness.

Born September 30, l966 in Coffee County, Ga., Brand was the son of Joseph Aldridge “Joe” and Edna “Ed” Buntyn Nugent.  Brand was self-employed as a farmer and in his spare time enjoyed hunting and target shooting.  He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.

Survivors include:

Daughter:  Sarah Nugent of Douglas, Ga.

Brother:  Randy Nugent and wife, Lacey of Douglas, Ga.

Sister:  Pat Wright of Douglas, Ga.

Former Wife and Mother of daughter, Sarah:  Kim Hall of Douglas, Ga.

Special Friend:  Fancy Franzen of Pearson, Ga.

Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and other relatives also survive.

Funeral Services for Mr. Nugent were held Friday, October 02, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at Holy Family Catholic Church with Father Paul O'Connell and Rev. Edward Mathews officiating. Special music was “Amazing Grace” presented by CD.  The interment followed in the Nugent Family Cemetery in Coffee County, Ga.

Serving as active pallbearers were:  Ian Nugent, Jim Franklin, Walker Nugent, Carson Nugent, Michael Powell, and Tyrone Mullis. Honorary Pallbearer were:   Dudley Bennett, John Nugent, Brent Corbitt, Ray Mullis, Raymond Gay, Rodney Mizell, and Mike Sumner.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made in Mr. Nugent's honor to Holy Family Catholic Church. Holy Family Catholic Church 126 Holy Family Church Rd. Pearson, Ga.    31642
