Mr. John A. Pond, age 27, of Willacoochee, Ga., passed away, Friday, February 08, 2019 in Douglas, Ga.

from injuries received in an accident.

 

A native of Statesboro, Ga., Mr. Pond was born June 9, l99l, son of John Dean Pond and the late Jeri Sue Jarrett. He had made his home in Willacoochee for most of his life. He enjoyed fishing, and baseball. His favorite team was the Atlanta Braves. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Oscar and Billie Sue Jarrett and a cousin, Nikki Jones.

 

Survivors include: 

Sister: Kristy Thomas of Willacoochee, Ga.

 

Father: John Dean Pond of Broxton, Ga.

 

4 Aunts: Pollyanna Davis and husband Michael of Douglas, Ga.

               Vickie Lewis and husband Herman of Willacoochee, Ga.

Wanda Pond of Statesboro, Ga.
     Julie Pond of Statesboro, Ga.

 

Uncle: Larry Mosher of Pearson, Ga.

 

Special Cousins: Jessica Belk, Brandon Griffin, Cody Davis, and Johnny Mosher.

Several other relatives also survive.

 

Funeral Services for Mr. Pond were held Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at 3:00 P.M. at Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. with Rev. David Smith officiating. Special musical selections “Seven Spanish Angels”, “Why” and “When I Get Where I’m Going” were presented by cd. A special video was shown with John singing “Three Wooden Crosses”. The interment followed in St. Luke Cemetery.

 

Serving as active pallbearers were: Cody Davis, Jay Rowe, Jose Contreras, Malcom Loper,

Pablo Castillo and Brandon Griffin.

 

Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
