Mr. Jimmy “Jim” Gene Brown, Jr., age 56, of Pearson, Ga., passed away Friday, July 10, 2026, at Ascension St. Vincent’s Riverside Hospital in Jacksonville, Fl. following an extended illness.

Mr. Brown was born on July 31, 1969, to the late Jimmy Gene Brown, Sr. and Elaine Bennett Brown. He made his home in Pearson and worked for 27 years at Wal-Mart D.C. as a forklift operator and in maintenance. Mr. Brown was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed hunting, fishing, working outside, gardening and spending time with his family.

Survivors Include:

Mother: Elaine Bennett Brown of Pearson, Ga.

Son: Dylan Brown of Pearson, Ga.

Brother: Jason Brown of Pearson, Ga.

Nephew: Jacob Brown and wife Raechel of Axson, Ga.

Special Friend: Kay Brown of Willacoochee, Ga.

Several other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Brown were held on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. at Relihan Funeral Home with Rev. Sim Youngblood and Rev. Edward Mathews officiating. Special music included “Go Rest High On That Mountain” and “I Can Only Imagine” presented by Kelly Morris. The interment followed in Ozias Church Cemetery.

Active Pallbearers included: Michael Wilkerson, Jason Grantham, Justin Brown, Michael Brown, Matthew Brown, and Craig Stone.

Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
