Jerry Leon White

Mr. Jerry Leon White, age 65, of Pearson, Ga. passed away at his home, Thursday, February 13, 2020.

Mr. White was born August 20, l954 in Fernandina Beach, Fl. son of Lehi White and the late Billie Corbitt White. He had made his home in Atkinson County for most of his life and was employed at Langboard in Willacoochee, Ga... In his spare time, he enjoyed being with his grandchildren, hunting, fishing, raising hogs, and stopping by the feed store to catch up on the local news. He attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church. In addition to his Mother, he was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Lott White and a brother, Johnny White.

Survivors include:

Father:  Lehi White of Pearson, Ga.

Son:  Jonathan White and wife, Lisa of Pearson, Ga.

Daughter:  Jennifer White of Jacksonville, Fla.

2 Brothers:  Joel White and wife, Charlene of Pearson, Ga.

                  Jimmy White and wife, Suzanne of Blackshear, Ga.

Sister:  Janie Vining and husband, Kenny of Axson, Ga.

7 Grandchildren:  James and Jenna Wheeler, Austin and Justin White, Ava and Madison Odom and Jordyn Atkinson.

Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Memorial services for Mr. White were held Sunday, February 16, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. at Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. with Rev. Edward Mathews officiating. Special musical selections included “Jealous of the Angels” and “Granddaddy’s Chair” rendered by CD. 

Memorialization is by cremation. 

Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
