James "Jimmy" Leonard Fussell

Mr. James L. “Jimmy” Fussell, age 79, passed away Friday, July 28, 2023, at his home in Pearson, Ga. following an extended illness.

Mr. Fussell was born March 17, l944 in Douglas, Ga. to Emory and Cora Carver Fussell.  He had made his home in the Coffee / Atkinson County area most of his life.  He loved woodworking and was known far and wide for his skill in building cabinets.  He also had a passion for horses, hunting, and bird dogs. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jody Fussell, 2 brothers, Rufus Patton, and E. J. Fussell, and 4 sisters, Lemmie Merritt, Ann Castleberry, Dorothy Holland, and Athalene Scott.

Son:  Kevin Fussell of Douglas, Ga.

Daughter-In-Law: Marissa Fussell of Pearson, Ga.

Granddaughter: Jodee Fussell of Pearson, Ga.

Sister:  Sue Brown of Pearson, Ga.

2 Special Nieces:  Rhonda Rentz and Wanda Monchreve

Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Memorialization was by cremation.

Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
