James Gregory "Greg" Daniels

Mr. James Gregory “Greg” Daniels, age 68, of Willacoochee, Ga., passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at Vista Park Health and Rehabilitation in Douglas, Ga., following an extended illness.

Mr. Daniels was born on March 03, 1958, to the late Homer Lee and Rena McKinnon Daniels. A native of Atkinson County, he made his home in Willacoochee, Ga. He worked as a Truck Driver and later retired from the State of Ga. Department of Corrections. Mr. Daniels was of Christian faith and enjoyed fishing, working in the yard, the Atlanta Falcons and Georgia Bulldogs, and spending time with his grandchildren and family. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Daniels, and nephew, Jonathan L. Daniels.

Survivors Include:

Wife: Jean Daniels of Willacoochee, Ga.

Daughter: Jennifer Key and husband Michael of Douglas, Ga.

Sister-in-Law: Maxine Daniels of Pearson, Ga.

4 Grandchildren: Haley Medina and husband K.C., Gabby Key, Khloe Key, and Courtney Key

3 Great-Grandchildren: Hunter Leia, Draysen, and Anders.

Niece: Diane Stewart and husband Jamie

3 Great Nieces: Amanda Alberga and husband Logan and their 2 Children

                              Karley Williams and husband Brock and their 2 Children

Great Nephew: Logan Stewart

Several other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Daniels were held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 12:00 P.M. at Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. with Rev. Clyde Purvis officiating. Speakers included David Corbitt, Jennifer Key, and Haley Medina. Special music included “Bury My Bones”, “Go Rest High on That Mountain”, and “Ordinary Man” presented by cd. The interment followed in Sunnyside Cemetery.

Active Pallbearers included: K.C. Medina, David Corbitt, Anderson Droke, J.G. Gillis, Patrick Williams, and Simon McDonald.

Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
