Georgia Lee Washington

July 25, 1964 — July 6, 2020

Ms. Georgia L. Washington, age 55, of Pearson, Ga. passed away Monday, July 6, 2020 at her home following a sudden illness. A native of Homerville, Ga., Ms. Washington was born July 25, 1964, daughter of James Washington and Rosa Lee Davis. Everyone who knew Georgia, knew she was a hard worker. After 20 years at Cady Bag Company, Georgia went on to work many positions from cook to server at Pizza Hut in Douglas, Ga. She attended Mission Temple Church in Pearson, Ga. and enjoyed her spare time by socializing and spending time with her friends and family. Along with her parents, Georgia was preceded in death by two sisters Barbara Smallwood and Dorothy Davis.

Survivors include:

3 Sisters: Essie Davis of Pearson, Ga.

                 Sharon Clark of Blackshear, Ga.

                 Debbie Jones of Waycross, Ga.

Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Graveside funeral services for Georgia were held on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at 11:30 A.M. in the Pearson City Cemetery with Rev. Michael Godwin officiating. Special musical selections included, “Battle is the Lord’s” rendered acapella by Margaret Carter and “Nothing to Lose, All to Gain” performed acapella by Margaret Carter along with John Reese. The interment followed in the Pearson City Cemetery. 

Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
