Mrs. Erma Lee Carver Thigpen, age 100, of Pearson, Ga. passed away Sunday, October 19, 2025, at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, Ga.

Mrs. Thigpen was born on February 19, 1925, in Atkinson County to the late Alma Lewis and Gertrude Lott Carver. She worked as a Farmer and Homemaker and enjoyed cooking, sewing, reading and working in the yard with her flowers. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and attended Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Thigpen was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Thigpen and her sister, Delouise Carver Mizell.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Thigpen were held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Fussell officiating. Special music included “Rock of Ages” and “Amazing Grace” presented by the Mt. Pleasant Choir and “It Is Well with My Soul” presented by John Lang. Prelude and postlude music rendered by John Lang pianist. The internment followed in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

Pallbearers included: Brett Daniels, Henry Smith III, Manning Smith, Allie Purvis, Dorsey Thigpen, and Michael Smith.

Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
