Eloise Adams Davis

Mrs. Eloise Adams Davis, age 90 years old, of Millwood, Ga. passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at her home following an extended illness.  She was born, November 13, 1933, in Atkinson County, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clinton and Gertie Sears Adams.  Mrs. Davis made her home in the Millwood area, for most of her life, where she was a homemaker who took great pride in caring for and providing for her family.  She loved to travel and enjoyed cooking for her family and crocheting blankets and dolls for others.  Mrs. Davis was a member of the Axson Church of God of Prophecy and was preceded in death, along with her parents, by her husband, Elton Davis and brother, Spence Adams.

Survivors include:

Son:  Randy Davis of Millwood, Ga.

Daughter:  Diane Sweat of Millwood, Ga.

Brother:  Denzel Adams of Pearson, Ga.

Sister:  Lucy Fulmer of Douglas, Ga.

4 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.  

Funeral services for Mrs. Davis were held on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at the Axson Church of God of Prophecy in Axson, Ga. with Rev. Steven Anderson and Rev. Chris Boyd officiating. Special musical selections included, “Go Rest High” and “Amazing Grace” both rendered by cd.  The interment followed in Axson Cemetery.

Serving as active pallbearers were:  Orbie Davis, Johnny Burch, Steve Adams, Steve Sweat, Ashley Davis and Brandon Davis. 

Serving as honorary pallbearers were:  Charles Johns, Steve Bennett, Defronz Minor, and Marvin McDaniels.

Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
