Ms. Doris Anderson, age 76, Willacoochee, Ga. passed away Friday, February 14, 2020 at her home following an extended illness. A native of Willacoochee, Ga. Ms. Anderson was born October 08, 1943, daughter of Tom and Annie O’Neal Anderson. In her early years she was a seamstress and a mail carrier. While in her later years finding her passion of driving a semi. Over the road she was known as “Pride”. She was always full of joy, life, and laughter. She loved her family very much and had so much excitement each time she was able to make a trip home to visit them. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by former husband’s, James Edsel Harper, J.W. Roberts, and Robert “Bob” Shatto, Sr., son, Robert “Bobby” Shatto, Jr., brother, Burnell Anderson, and grandchildren, Matthew Horton and Kelly Prescott. Survivors include: 4 Daughters: Jean Shatto and husband Ed of Douglas, Ga. Dean Horton and husband Darrell of Willacoochee, Ga. Cindy Shatto of Willacoochee, Ga. Sharon Shatto of Willacoochee, Ga. 2 Sons: James Harper and wife Dianne of Douglas, Ga. Ricky Roberts and wife Karen of Nashville, Ga. Sister: Verneil Hall and husband Chester of Willacoochee, Ga. 26 Grandchildren: Shell Shatto, Tim(Hershel) Shatto, Jerry(Samantha) Shatto, Laura(Kevin) Steverson, Hiedi(Anthony) Mancil, Danny(Alicia) Horton, Allen(Tammy) Horton, Amanda(Pablo) Castillo, Evan(Candi) Harper, Jessica(Chris) Hewett, Lehi(Amber) Steven, Jared(Teresa) Harper, Jaimee Harper, Jimmy(Meagan) Thurman, Colton Roberts, Cameron DelToro, Payton Roberts, Emily Roberts, Obbi Roberts, Dawn(Brandon) Stone, Debra Grantham, Shelby and Robert Shatto, Morgan(Barry) Carter, Nicholas Bennett, and Aaron Dale. 50 Great-Grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive. Special thanks to Elaine McMillan, Ike Thomas, Tracy Cosenza, Laura Hall, and Jennifer Vick. Funeral services for Ms. Anderson were held, Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at the Willacoochee Church of God in Willacoochee, Ga. with Rev. David Rowe, Bishop Willie Northcutt and Rev. Brandon Stone officiating. Special music included “Jesus Just The Mention of Your Name”, “I Wouldn’t Take Nothing For My Journey Now”, and “I’ve Got More To Go To Heaven For” presented by CD. Soft music for the Prelude and Postlude was “Three Wooden Crosses” and “Dancing In The Sky” by CD. The interment followed in the Willacoochee City Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers were: Evan Harper, Jimmy Thurman, Jared Harper, Nicholas Bennett, Aaron Dale, and Lehi Stevens. Honorary pallbearers were all remaining grandchildren. Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
