Diane Yawn Scarborough

September 8, 1960 — September 15, 2022

Mrs. Diane Yawn Scarborough of Willacoochee, Ga. passed away Thursday, September 15, 2022, at her home in Willacoochee, Ga. following a courageous extended illness. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on September 8, 1960, daughter of Billy Robert, Sr., and Glenda Futch Yawn. Diane made her home in Willacoochee, Ga., where she took great pride in caring for and raising her family. She worked as a service representative with SSA, until her retirement in 2016. There were many things in Diane’s life that she enjoyed doing, like going to the beach, loving on her fur babies, and we all remember, her “thoughts from the porch” where she shared her wisdom on anything from politics, religion, and social matters, all mixed in with the humor and love, that only Mrs. Diane could give. She made it known how much she loved her husband, and her mother, as well as many others all whom she called “family”. Blood related, or not, to Diane, it was all the same, and if you were blessed to be a part of her family, then you knew just how blessed you really were! Diane was a devout Christian of the Baptist faith. She never had to proclaim her religious beliefs, because she lived them, every day. Though, Diane will be greatly missed, her light will live on. Survivors include: Husband: Gary L. Scarborough of Willacoochee, Ga. Mother: Glenda Futch Yawn of Willacoochee, Ga.
