OBITUARY                                                                                                   MS. DEBRA JANE TANNER

 

Ms. Debra Jane Tanner, age 66, of Clearwater, Fl. passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, Fl. following a short illness. A native of Atlanta, Ga., Ms. Tanner was born, February 3, 1953, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Cecil and Georgia Lastinger Tanner. She had made her home in Atkinson County for most of life before moving to Al. to live with her sister after the death of her mother. She later moved to Clearwater Fl. to live with her brother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and had a great love of rock n’ roll music. Ms. Tanner was preceded in death by her parents.

 

Survivors include:

 

Sister: Stephanie Tanner Jernigan and husband Rodney of Titus, Al.

 

Brother:  Steven C. Tanner and Marjorie Sherman of Clearwater, Fl.

 

Uncle-Aunt: Buddy and Catherine Tanner of Pearson, Ga.

 

2 Nieces: Hope Rockefeller and Misty Collum

 

Nephew: Brad Lott

 

1 Great Niece, 6 Great Nephews, 3 Great-Great Nieces, 1 Great-Great Nephew and several other relatives also survive.

 

Funeral services for Ms. Tanner were held on Sunday, June 02, 2019 at 3:00 P.M. at Relihan Funeral Home Chapel in Pearson, Ga. with Bro. Dave Walker officiating. The welcome and special memories were shared by her nieces, Hope and Misty. Memories and other stories about Debra’s life were shared by individuals attending the service. Special musical selections included, “To Love Somebody” by the Bee Gees, “Love Lifted Me” and “Lead Me Home” rendered by Stacy Sirmans, C. F. Sirmans and Michael Wright, “Skin N Bones” rendered by Greg Czinke and Ken Logan and “Give Me Some Lovn’” rendered by Ken Logan, Phil Exposito, Greg Czinke and Gumbi Ortiz. The interment followed in the Red Bluff Cemetery.

 

 

Serving as active pallbearers were: Ken Logan, Greg Czinke, Wes Eubanks, Dave Walker, Carlton Hodges and John Higgs.

 

Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of all the arrangements.
