Clayton Morris Tanner

Mr. Clayton Morris Tanner, age 80, of Pearson, Ga. passed away, Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, Ga. following an extended illness. A native of Atkinson County, Mr. Tanner was born in Kirkland, Ga., on April l4, l938, son of Henry C. and Lila McKinnon Tanner. He had lived in Atkinson County for most of his life. He served in the U. S. Air Force for l0 years and after moving back to Atkinson County, he worked with his brother, Buddy Tanner in poultry and farming operations. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Cecil Tanner and Clark Tanner.Survivors include:2 Daughters: Dorothy Heathman of Seattle, Wa.                         Katherine Bannebell of Seattle, Wa. Brother: Robert L. “Buddy” Tanner and wife Catherine of Pearson, Ga.2 Grandchildren and several other relatives also survive.Memorial services for Mr. Tanner were held at 2:00 P. M. Sunday, October 21, 20l8 at Elbethel Church in Pearson, Ga. with Sister Barbara Wall officiating.Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
