Celestino Gaona

Mr. Celestino Gaona, age 72 years old, of Willacoochee, Ga., passed away Monday, May 11, 2026, at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, Ga. following an extended illness.

Survivors include: Wife: Fidelia Gaona of Willacoochee, Ga. 

5 Sons: Oscar Gaona and wife Yesenia of Douglas, Ga.

               Daniel Gaona and wife Gabby of Douglas, Ga.

               Celestino Gaona, Jr. of Douglas, Ga.

               David Gaona and wife Guadalupe of Douglas, Ga.

               Jacob Gaona of Willacoochee, Ga. 

2 Daughters: Stephanie Gaona De-Los-Santos and husband Raul of Douglas, Ga.

                         Melanie Gaona of Willacoochee, Ga. 

2 Brothers: Florencio Gaona and wife Bridgette of Willacoochee, Ga.

                     Alejandro Gaona and wife Fidelia of Greensboro, N.C. 

2 Sisters: Juana Sanchez and husband Jose of Teague, Tx.

                  Asuncion Toledo and husband Homberto of Guerrero, Mx. 

14 Grandchildren, 1 Great-Grandchild, and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Mr. Gaona was preceded in death by his parents, Epifanio Gaona and Dolores Vasquez, Sister, Delfa Gaona and 3 brothers, Apolinar Gaona, Atanacio Gaona, and Catalino Gaona. 

Funeral services for Mr. Gaona will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Alpha-Y-Omega Church in Willacoochee, Ga. at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Victoria Rigoberto officiating. The interment will follow in the Willacoochee City Cemetery.
