Carol Anderson Mizell

Mrs. Carol Anderson Mizell, age 64, of Pearson, Ga., passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Ga.

Survivors Include:

Husband: Joe Mizell of Pearson, Ga.

Son: Joseph Mizell and wife Janna of Homerville, Ga.

2 Daughters: Shannon Mizell and Steve Nettles of Pearson, Ga.

                        Jennifer Strickland and husband Ethan of Pearson, Ga.

Brother: J.A. Anderson of Pearson, Ga.

5 Sisters: Margaret Davis of Pearson, Ga.

                  Geraldine Sewell of Sylvester, Ga.

                   Laverne Merritt of Alma, Ga.

                   Maxine Woodal and husband Tim of Peachtree, Ga.

                   Lou Annie Musgrove of Douglas, Ga.

8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Mrs. Mizell is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Sara Ann Melissa Hutchinson Anderson and 5 sisters, Helen Sweat, Betty Stone, Christine Summerlin, Allene Spivey and Carol Mizell.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mizell will be held on Monday, April 20, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Pearson, Ga. with Rev. Clyde Davis and Rev. J.A. Anderson officiating. The interment will follow at New Bethel Cemetery.

Visitation for Mrs. Mizell will be held on Monday, April 20, 2026, from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M. at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Pearson, Ga.
