Mr. Carl Joe Carver, age 70, of West Green, Ga. passed away Monday, January 19, 2026, at his home following an extended illness.
Mr. Carver was born on July 19, 1955, in Orlando, Fl. to the late Fredrick and Annette Valour Annas Carver. Mr. Carver had made his home in Atkinson and Coffee County after retiring from the U. S., Navy after l4 years of service with the rank of E-6. Mr. Carver enjoyed music, socializing, traveling, fishing, cooking, and history of the Navy. Along with his parents, Mr. Carver was preceded in death by his sister, Suzie Barlow, and brother, Freddy Carver.
Survivors include:
Son: Michael Carver and wife Abby of West Green, Ga.
2 Daughters: Kelly Burch and husband Andrew of Biloxi, Ms.
Deidra Carver of Broxton, Ga.
9 Grandchildren: Camron Hendrickson (Shelby), Raylyn Cochran (Blake), Alexis Carver, Peighten Carver, Paislee Carver, M.J. Carver, Hunter Burch, Nevaeh Burch, and Dawson Burch
2 Great-Grandchildren: Walker Hendrickson and Addilyn Cochran
Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.
Funeral services for Mr. Carver were held on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. with Rev. Brandon Stone officiating. Special music included “I’ll Fly Away”, “Mansion Over the Hilltop” and “Graves into Gardens” presented by cd.
Military Honors were rendered by a U. S. Navy Honor Guard from the U. S. Naval Base in Albany, Ga.
Memorialization is by cremation.
Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
