Mr. Carl Waymer Bennett, lovingly known by many as “Cowboy,” passed away at home after an extended illness. Carl was a man known for his kind heart and the lasting impression he left on everyone who knew him. Whether through his stories, laughter, or willingness to help others, Cowboy will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Carl was preceded in death by his father, Waymer Bennett; his mother, Betty Bennett; and his sister, Cindy Bennett.

He leaves behind his two sons, Josh Bennett and Cliff Bennett; and two stepdaughters, Dedra Musgrove (Brandon) and Debra Moore (Corey), six grandchildren: Carlie Gillis, Lerah Phillips (Jordan), Dylan Holt, Avery Holt, Brody Moore, and Baylee Moore.

He also had many extended family members and friends who will continue to cherish all of the fun times that had been had with Cowboy.

Pall bearers include Corey Moore, Billy O’Berry, Sam Higgs, Mark Davis, Luke Joyner, Bryan Smith, Mac (Greezy) Oliver – Honorary, and Perry Thompson – Honorary.

Cowboy’s legacy will live on through the lives he touched, and the memories shared by those who loved him. Though he may be gone from this earth, he will never be forgotten.

We will have a Graveside service on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at 11 A.M. at Bennett Cemetery in Millwood, Ga.
