Brenda Ann Chaney Thigpen

Mrs. Brenda Ann Chaney Thigpen, age 58 years old of Pearson, Ga. passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2020, at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, Ga. following a short illness.

Mrs. Thigpen was born December 21, l961, in Coffee County, daughter of Willis Aaron Chaney, Sr. and Anna Lee Porter Chaney.  She was a homemaker and loved to fish and look at Facebook.  She attended New Bethel Church.

Survivors include:

Husband:  Jerry Thigpen of Pearson, Ga.

Son:  Jesse Thigpen and wife, Sharona of Douglas, Ga.

2 Daughters:  Mary Rosetta Minter of Broxton, Ga.

                     Sharon Rebecca Snipes of Pearson, Ga.

Brother:  Willis A. Chaney, Jr. of Douglas, Ga.

Sister:  Bonnie Worth and husband, Danny of Douglas, Ga.

9 Grandchildren, 4 Great-Grandchildren, several Nieces, Nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Thigpen were held, Saturday, October 17, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at New Bethel Church Cemetery in Pearson, Ga. with Rev. J.A. Anderson officiating. Special music included “On the Wings of a Dove”, “Go Rest High on that Mountain”, “In the Garden” and “I’ll Fly Away” rendered by the New Bethel Church singers and David Bowen, Jr. with Mr. Bowen accompanying on the keyboards. The interment followed in New Bethel Cemetery.

Serving as active pallbearers were, Larry Thigpen, Drago Royals, Jacob Williams, Joe Brooks, Dexter Tims, and Brandon Brown.

Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
