Mr. Bobby G. Corbitt, age 76 years old, of Pearson, Ga. passed away Monday, October 23, 2023, at Coffee Regional Medical Center, in Douglas, Ga., following a brief illness. He was born in Waresboro, Ga. on December 7, 1946, son of William Alfred Corbitt and Rosa Lee Taylor.  Mr. Corbitt worked as a mechanic and was a Veteran of the U.S. Marines Corps.  He attended of Covenant Outreach Church.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Corbitt was preceded in death by his grandson; Bobby Jesus Vazques, great-grandson; Jacob Ansel, 2 brothers; Timothy and Alfred Corbitt, and sister; Margie Bass.

 

Survivors include:

 

Wife:  Margie Corbitt of Pearson, Ga.

 

2 Sons:  Shane Michael Corbitt and wife Holly of Pearson, Ga.

              Andy and Krissy Shaw of Waycross, Ga.

 

5 Daughters:  Serena Corbitt of Orlando, Fl.

                       Roquel Corbitt and husband Dana Giddens of Lakeland, Ga.

                       Terrianna Albert and husband Jeffrey of Tallahassee, Fl.

                       Rosa Moore and husband Ricky of Douglas, Ga.

                       Ava Griffin and husband Raymond of Willacoochee, Ga.

 

3 Brothers:  Henry Corbitt and wife Darlene of Valdosta, Ga.

                    Calvin Corbitt and wife Suzette of Live Oak, Fl.

                    Tony Corbitt and wife Sarah of Pearson, Ga.

 

5 Sisters:  Marion Henderson and husband Danny of Dupont, Ga.

                 Libby Corbitt of Live Oak, Fl.

                 Lou Corbitt of Pearson, Ga.

                 Betty May and husband Frankie of Pearson, Ga.

                 Colleen Griffis and husband Jess of Pearson, Ga.

                 Velda Stone of Pearson, Ga.

 

Memorial services for Mr. Corbitt were held on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. at Covenant Outreach Ministries in Pearson, Ga. with Rev. Michael Johnson officiating.  Military Honors were rendered by a U.S. Marine Corps Honor Guard Contingent, based out of Albany, Ga.

 

Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
