Blake Allen Vining, age 34 of Pearson, Ga., passed away Thursday Morning, February 4, 2021 at his home, following a brief illness. Born in Lakeland, Ga., Blake was born, September 2, 1986, son of Mr. Clyde Allen Vining and Mrs. Patricia Ann “Patti” Thomas. He was a 2006 Graduate of Atkinson County High School and enjoyed many different hobbies including football, especially the Ga. Bulldogs. He was of the Methodist faith and a member of St. James A.M.E. Church in Pearson, Ga. Blake loved life and he loved his family and friends. He will always be remembered for his smile, which was just as beautiful as his soul.

Graveside funeral services for Blake were held, Sunday, February 7, 2021 at Mt. Zion Church Cemetery in Axson, Ga. at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Glenda Newton officiating. Special musical selections included “Heaven” by Kane Brown, “Amazing Grace” and “Don’t That Sound Like Heaven” all rendered by cd. The interment followed in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Serving as active pallbearers were Kenneth Haskins, Henry Haskins, Johnny Haskins, Donovan Gurley, Stan Gurley, Timothy Gurley and Allen Vining.
Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
