Mrs. Joeline Ryals Luke age 74 of Willacoochee, passed away Wednesday morning, August 5, 2009 at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Ga. following a brief illness. A native of Coffee County, Mrs. Luke was born June 20, 1935, daughter of Wilson and Willie Hogan Ryals. She was a homemaker and member of the Willacoochee First Baptist Church. Mrs. Luke was preceded in death by her husband, James Wilton Luke. Survivors include: 2 Daughters: Teresa Faye Luke of Huntsville, Alabama Clarissa Luke Medders of La Vergne , Tenn. 1 Sister: Wilhelmina R. Davis of Douglas, Ga. 2 Grandchildren: Courtney Medders Hursey Thomas Barton Medders Several Nieces and Nephews also survive. Funeral Services for Mrs. Luke were held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 8, 2009 at the Willacoochee First Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Huffstuttler officiating. Special musical selections included, "I Can Only Imagine" rendered by Charles and Tammy Wood, with guitar accompaniment by Charles Wood, and "Go Rest High on That Mountain" rendered by soloist Pam Huffstuttler. Soft music for the Prelude and Postlude was provided by Bonnie Kunberger, pianist. The interment followed in the Willacoochee City Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers were: Greg O'Berry, Darwin Corbitt, Devin Corbitt, Phillip Guthrie, Josh Hursey, and Henry Medders. Serving as honorary pallbearers were: Members of the Willacoochee First Baptist Church and remaining Nieces, Nephews and other family members. Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
