Lutra Elvert Wall

Mrs. Lutra E. Wall age 86 a resident of Shady Acres Convalescent Center in Douglas, Ga. for many years but formerly of Pearson, Ga. passed away Monday, October 26, 2009 at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, Ga. following an extended illness. A native of Atkinson County, Ms. Wall was born March 15, l923 daughter of the late Coleman and Birta Lucille Keaton Wall. She was a homemaker and a member of Ozias Freewill Baptist Church. Survivors include: 1 Brother: Truman Wall of Pearson, Ga. 4 Sisters: Maxine Wall of Jacksonville, Fl. Mary Ann Ledford of Charlotte, N. C. Estelle Connolly and husband Tom of Wilmington, N. C. Amanda C. Mizell and husband Nick of Pearson, Ga. Sister In Law: Barbara Wall of Pearson, Ga. Several Nieces and Nephews also survive. Funeral services for Ms. Wall were held at 2:00 P. M. Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at Ozias Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Johnson officiating. Special musical selections "Nothing But the Blood" and "Unclouded Day" were presented by the congregation with Joyce Johnson accompanying at the piano and "Serenaded by Angels" was rendered by soloist Cheryl Dean with tape accompaniment. Pianist Joyce Johnson provided soft music for the Prelude and the Postlude. The interment followed in Sweetwater Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers were: Jimmy Wall, Stanley Wall, Keith Wall, Mike Dean, Tom Connolly and Harry Russ. Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
