Mrs. Ivy Dell Pittman age 68 of Pearson, Ga. passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at Smith Northview Hospital in Valdosta, Ga. following a short illness. A native of Jeff Davis County, Mrs. Pittman was born September l8, l941 daughter of Ed and Ruby Lee Taylor Turner. She was a homemaker and a member of Sweetwater United Methodist Church. Survivors include: Husband: Doyland Pittman of Pearson, Ga. 3 Sons: James Harold (Jimbo) Wooten and wife Lou Dean of Brunswick, Ga. Bruce Wooten and wife Lisa of Kirkland, Ga. Darren Wooten of LaGrange, Ga. 1 Daughter: Diane Adams of Brunswick, Ga. 2 Step-Daughters: Cheryl Jackson and husband Doc of Pearson, Ga. Betty Gail Lott of Douglas, Ga. 2 Sisters: Queenie Adams of Brunswick, Ga. Eula Lee Hardy of Nahunta, Ga. 10 Grandchildren, 8 Great-Grandchildren, and several Nieces and Nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Pittman were held at 3:00 P.M., Friday, April 30, 2010 at Sweetwater United Methodist Church in Pearson, Ga. with Rev. Raymond Cason and Brother D. Q. Pittman officiating. Special musical selections included "Amazing Grace" and "Go Rest High On That Mountain" rendered by Charles and Tammy Wood with Charles on the guitar. Brad Courson pianist played soft music for the Prelude and the Postlude. The interment followed in the Axson Cemetery in Axson, Ga. Serving as pallbearers were: Dennis Wright, Jimmy Mullis, J. David Tanner, Bobby Lashley, Terry Morris and Roger Smith. Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements
