Arvie Kirkland Wall

Mrs. Arvie K. Wall age 75 of Willacoochee, Ga. passed away on Saturday, June l9, 20l0 at her residence following an extended illness. A native of Berrien County Mrs. Wall was born May l6, l935 daughter of John and Annie Mae Boyd Kirkland. She had worked for many years for J. P. Stevens Co. in the textile industry. In recent years she was mostly a homemaker and enjoyed having her kids and grandkids visit. She was a member of Willacoochee United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Jessie Lee Wall. Survivors include: 1 Daughter: Theresa Lerma of Willacoochee, Ga. 3 Sons: Ronald Flowers and wife Marian of Duson, La. John Henry (Skip) Wall II and wife Sara of Moultrie, Ga. Jessie Bernie Wall of Harlan, Iowa 12 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren and several Nieces and Nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Wall were held at 11:00 A. M. Wednesday, June 23, 20l0 at the Willacoochee United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Duvall and Rev. Johnny Smith officiating. Special musical selections included "You Raised Me Up" rendered by Josh Gurley soloist with taped accompaniment. Soft music for the Prelude and the Postlude was provided by Katherine Tucker organist. The interment followed in the Willacoochee City Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers were: Tim Mixon, Lee Pittman, Don Murray, Michael Joiner, Connie Joiner, and Marcus Williams. Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
