Lucille (Nona) Shiver Davis - 84 of Willacoochee, GA went to be with her Lord in the early morning hours of Wednesday, April 27, 2011. Nona was born January 23, 1927 and was the 12th child of John Burton Shiver & Georgia Moree Shiver. She spent her years lovingly raising and caring for her family. Nona was a proud member of the Church of God for 60 years and was devoted to her Christian faith. She taught Adult Sunday School weekly for over 30 years and was a faithful student of God's Word. She also was a very talented cook and loved to quilt and crochet. She was proceeded in death by her loving husband of nearly 50 years Latimer Jackson (Bud) Davis. She is survived by a caring family including her four children: Joan Sheffield of Pooler, GA, Kathy Paulk and husband Michael of Willacoochee, GA, Joe Davis and wife Susan of Nashville, GA, Tommy Davis and wife Sandra of Alapaha, GA; nine grandchildren: April Sheffield and Rhonda Sheffield, both of Pooler, GA, Josh Davis and Rosanna (Bradley) Williams both of Nashville, GA, Mike (Shana) Paulk of Pelham, GA, Kari Paulk of Douglas, GA, Carroll (William) Jackson and Kristie (Dean) Seymour both of Alapaha, GA, Cassandra Davis of Riverview, Florida and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday, April 28th from 6pm - 8pm at Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, GA. Her home going service will be held at Willacoochee Church of God Friday, April 29th at 4pm. Grandchildren will serve as Pallbearers, and Mrs. Glenda Yawn and members of The Willacoochee Senior Center will serve as Honary Pallbearers. The family would like to thank Odyssey Hospice and Westview Rehabilitation Center for the exceptional care they provided. Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, Ga. is in charge of the arrangements.
