Gene Howard Haskins

Mr. Gene Howard Haskins, age 82, of Pearson, GA passed away, Monday, July 30, 2012 at Shady Acres Nursing Home in Douglas, GA following an extended illness. A native of Atkinson Co., Mr. Haskins was born July 13, 1930, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry and Mary Newbern Haskins. He was a Dispatcher with the Atkinson Co. Sheriff's office and a Veteran of the U.S. Navy. Mr. Haskins was of the Methodist faith and attended Sweetwater United Methodist Church in Pearson, GA. He is survived by one sister, Berniedette Williams of Tennessee. One aunt and several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins also survive. Visitation for Mr. Haskins will be held Tuesday night, from 6:00-9:00 P.M. at Relihan Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Sweetwater Methodist Church with Rev. D.Q. Pittman and Rev. Frank Littleton officiating. The interment will follow in Live Oak Cemetery in Willacoochee, GA. Relihan Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
