Mrs. Arlene Smith Higgs, age 90, of Axson, Ga. passed away Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah, Ga. following injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Survivors include: 1 Son: Leo James Higgs, Jr. and wife Terri of Blackshear, Ga. 2 Daughters: Sarah Ann White and husband George of Axson, Ga. Bernell Higgs McGovern of Lake Mary, Fla. 11 Grandchildren, 21 Great-Grandchildren, 1 Great-Great Grandchild and several Nieces and Nephews also survive. Mrs. Higgs was the widow of the late Mr. Leo James Higgs, Sr. The family will be receiving friends Wednesday evening from 6:00-9:00 P.M. at Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. Funeral Service for Mrs. Higgs will be held, Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 3:00 P.M. at Mt. Green Church of God of Prophecy. Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. is in charge of the arrangements.
