Shane McDonald

Mr. Michael Shane McDonald, age 37, of Willacoochee, GA. passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2014 in Hartford, CT. following a brief illness. A native of Tifton, Ga., Mr. McDonald was born, October 15, 1976, son of Mr. and Mrs. Karl and Gail Lott McDonald. He was self-employed in the industrial maintenance field and enjoyed working all around the United States, taking great pride in providing for his family. Mr. McDonald was an avid Florida Gators fan and a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Survivors include: Wife: Holly Brown McDonald of Willacoochee, GA. Daughter: Kassidy Jade McDonald of Willacoochee, GA. Parents: Karl and Gail McDonald of Willacoochee, GA. 1 Brother: Don McDonald and wife Angie of Pearson, GA. 3 Sisters: Karla McDonald and husband Jr. of Willacoochee, GA. Karman Metts and husband Jim of Pearson, GA. Stephanie McDonald and fiancé Steven Paulk of Douglas, GA. Several Nieces, Nephews, and other relatives also survive. Funeral Services for Mr. McDonald were held Sunday, July 27, 2014 at 2:00P.M. at Willacoochee First Baptist Church in Willacoochee, GA. with Rev. Bill Huffstuttler officiating. Special memories of Mr. McDonald were given by his sister, Stephanie McDonald and close friend, Joey Floyd. Special musical selections included, "Dancing in the Sky" and "Daddy's Hands" rendered by c.d. and "Amazing Grace" rendered by soloist Brandon Musgrove at the piano. Soft music for the Prelude and Postlude was provided by Bonnie Kunberger, pianist. A private family interment was held Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Holy Family Catholic Church Cemetery with Father Paul O'Connel officiating. Serving as active pallbearers were: Ryan McCranie, Neal Floyd, David Floyd, Lee Lewis, Stan Clement, Chad Lott, Gino Tolentino and Bobby Lott.
