Russell L. "Buck" Bennett

OBITUARY MR. RUSSELL "BUCK" BENNETT Mr. Russell L. "Buck" Bennett, age 66, of Pearson, GA. passed away Monday, January 05, 2015 at Haven Hospice in Orange Park, FL. following a short illness. A native of Pearson, Ga., Mr. Bennett was born, April 1, 1948, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank and Fannie Bell Benefield Bennett. He worked at Wright's Dairy Farm in Yulee, Fla. and also was a truck driver. Mr. Bennett was of the Baptist Faith and a US Army Veteran. He was preceded in death by his son, Roman Bennett. Survivors include: Wife: Patricia Ann Bennett of Pearson, GA. Son: Michael Bennett of Logan, WV. 2 Daughters: Tracy Ann Bennett of Axson, GA. Stacy Lynn Lindsay and husband Terry of Bryceville, FL. 1 Brother: Frankie Lee Bennett of Douglas, GA. 5 Grandchildren and several Nieces, Nephews, and other relatives also survive Funeral services for Mr. Bennett were held Thursday, January 8, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Sunnyside Baptist Church with Rev. J.A. Anderson officiating. Special musical selections included, "Consider the Lilies" and "On the Wings of an Angel" rendered by soloist, Betty Dickerson with tape accompaniment. Soft music for the Prelude and Postlude was provided by, Margaret Williams, pianist. The interment followed in Sunnyside Church Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers were: Chris Branch, Walter Branch, David Anderson, Perry Anderson, Barry Shawn Peach and Travis Peach. Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, GA. was in charge of the arrangements.
