Clarence Moses Moore

Mr. Clarence Moses Moore, age 74, of Willacoochee, GA. passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at his home in Willacoochee, GA. following an extended illness. A native of Willacoochee, Ga. Mr. Moore was born September 25, l940 son of Clarence Alton and Elva Palk Moore. He was a graduate of ABAC College, University of Georgia and Yale University. He worked and retired from the Dept. of Agriculture U. S. Forest Service. In l995 he returned to Willacoochee where he built his home in the Springhead Church area. He was an avid University of Georgia Bulldog fan and enjoyed meeting his fellow coffee drinkers every morning in Willacoochee for coffee. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Barbara Ann Bell and Jessie Gail Childs and a brother Ronald Moorer. Survivors include: Daughter: Ellen Anne Moore of Evansville, IN. 2 Sons: Mark Moore and wife Christine of Germany. Neil Moore and wife Lisa of Acworth, GA. Brother: Roy Moore Grandchildren: Grace Moore Julia Moore Nathaniel Moore Several Nieces, Nephews, and other relatives also survive. Graveside services for Mr. Moore were held Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Springhead Church Cemetery with Rev. John Jacobs officiating. The interment followed in Springhead Church Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers were: Freddie Wilkerson, Cam Newmans, Ricky Newmans, Shane Newmans, Joe Sirmans and J. J. Sirmans. Honorary pallbearers were: Herman Tucker, Danny Wilhoit, Jerry Pless, Gil Massey and his morning coffee friends.
