Jean Register Thigpen

Mrs. Jean Register Thigpen, age 60 of Pearson, Ga. passed away Wednesday, September 09, 2015 at her home in Pearson, Ga. after an extended illness. A native of Clinch County, Mrs. Thigpen was born June l9, l955, daughter of Ellie Gordon and Louise Giddens Register. She had made her home in Atkinson County for most of her life. She was a Homemaker and a member of Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include: Husband: David Thigpen of Pearson, Ga. 2 Sons: Brice Thigpen of Pearson, Ga. Eli Thigpen of Pearson, Ga. Daughter: Heather Thigpen of Pearson, Ga. 3 Brothers: Leon Register of Hephzibah, Ga. Michael Register of Blackshear, Ga. Dewayne Register of Lakeland, Ga. 4 Sisters: Lynda Rowe of Pearson, Ga. Quay McClaine of Dupont, Ga. Cheryl Dailey of Pearson, Ga. Katherine McKinnon of Pearson, Ga. 4 Grandchildren: Brandon Brown, Michael Brown, Kaitlyn Thigpen, and Desirea Thigpen. Several Nieces, Nephews, and other relatives also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Thigpen were held Friday, September 11, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Relihan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ed Gilliard officiating. Special musical selections included ," In The Garden", "Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus" and "Amazing Grace, My Chains Are Gone", rendered by CD. The interment followed in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers were: Wade Giddens, Josh Giddens, Andy Shaw, Tommy Musgrove, Brandon McKinnon, and Bryan McKinnon. Honorary pallbearers were: Jimmy Guadron and Shane Corbitt.
