Sue Walker

Mrs. Susie Jane (Sue) Walker, age 71 of Pearson, Ga. passed away Sunday, October 25, 2015 at her home in Pearson, Ga. following an extended illness. A native of Telfair County, Georgia, Mrs. Walker was born July 9, l944, daughter of the late Jesse and Eula Mae Pollard Watson. She had made her home in Atkinson County for most of her life. She was retired from PCC Corp. in Douglas, Ga. and had worked with the visiting nurses. She was currently working as a sitter with the elderly until poor health forced her retirement. She was a member of Sunnyside Baptist Cchurch. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a half sister, Inell Hart and 2 grandchildren, Shaun Sapp and Crystal Oliver. Survivors include: 2 Daughters: Suzette Oliver and husband Richard of Pearson, Ga. Amanda Walker of Alma, Ga. Brother: Jesse Watson of Homerville, Ga. Sister: Sadie Brigmond of Douglas, Ga. 4 Grandchildren: Amanda Oliver, Wendy Oliver, Savannah Oliver, and Jessica Hodges. 2 Great Grandchildren and several Nieces, Nephews, and other relatives also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Walker were held Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at 3:00 P.M. at Sunnyside Church with Rev. Larry Johnson and Rev. Sim Youngblood officiating. Special musical selections included, "My Angel", "Tears In Heaven", "Phone In Heaven", and "When I Get Where I'm Going" presented by cd. Soft Prelude and Postlude music was by Margaret Williams pianist. The interment followed in Sunnyside Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers were: Shane Anderson, Brian Brunner, Ashley Moore, Kyle Moore, Donovan Gurley and Evan Fyffe. Honorary pallbearers were: Steven Watson, Michael Watson and William Touchstone II.
