Glenn Merchant

Mr. Glenn Merchant, age 73 of Willacoochee, Ga. formerly of Douglas, Ga. passed away Sunday, November 01, 2015 at his home in Willacoochee, Ga. following a short illness. A native of Atkinson County, Mr. Merchant was born August 09, l942, son of Jesse and Lavada Moore Merchant. He was a retired electrician and was an avid fisherman. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by six brothers, Shelly Merchant, Colin Merchant, Howard Merchant, David Merchant, Edward Merchant, and Pete Merchant. Survivors include: Wife: Helen Merchant of Willacoochee, Ga. Son: Mike Merchant and wife Stacy of Fitzgerald, Ga. 2 Step-Sons: Mark Anderson and wife Loretta of Nicholls, Ga. Brantley Anderson and wife Kandi of Douglas, Ga. Sister: Lucille Lott of Douglas, Ga. 9 Grandchildren, 1 Great Grandchild and Several Nieces, Nephews, and other relatives also survive. Funeral services for Mr. Merchant were held Tuesday, November 03, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Relihan Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Paulk officiating. Special musical selections included, "Hold Me Jesus", "Drinking from My Saucer", and "Don't that Sound Like Heaven" presented by cd. The interment followed in Douglas City Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers were: Joe Carver, Kaleb Anderson, Brantley Anderson, Jr.,Rand Merchant, Dean Snoddy, and Brady Lott.
